The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing titled “Realizing a Competitive Education: Identifying Needs, Partnerships and Resources.”

The Subcommittee on Research and Science Education of the House Science and Technology Committee will hold a hearing on the National Science Foundation reauthorization.

The Legislative Branch Subcommitee of the House Appropriations Committee will hold a hearing on the Library of Congress and the future of digital libraries.

The Elections Subcommittee of the Committee on House Administration will hold a hearing on auditing federal elections.

The Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights of the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on the proposed XM-Sirius merger.

Meeting:
The Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Board of the Department of Homeland Security will hold a meeting on REAL ID and related activities.

Hearing:
The House Education and Labor Committee will hold a hearing on the Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (also known as No Child Left Behind).

The Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security of the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on identity theft.

Meeting:
The Technical Guidelines Development Committee of the Elections Assistance Commission will hold a meeting on its progress on the next edition of the voluntary voting system guidelines.
9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, Maryland

Hearing:
The Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property of the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing entitled “Copyright Law in the Digital Age.”

Markup:
The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on pending nominations and mark up legislation, including the Federal Data Mining Reporting Act.

Meeting:
