USACM Joins Diverse Coalition in Seeking Changes to the DMCA

USACM joined a diverse coalition of IT companies, library advocates, consumer rights groups and research organizations known as the Digital Futures Coalition in calling on Congress to make changes to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA).

Among the proposed changes, the coalition is seeking to ensure that scientists could not be sued under the DMCA when engaged in legitimate scientific research, such as for cyber security purposes.
